The design, construction and operation of 2011 cleanup actions in Skykomish are described in the 2010 Engineering Design Report (EDR). The report includes information about construction activities, building relocation and traffic impacts.

2011 cleanup activities include:

• Excavating the area near the west levee, Shawver properties, portion of school yard (pending access), and West River Road right-of-way
• Excavating in-river at the west end of the levee, if needed
• Excavating in-river near the 5th Street Bridge (no bridge closure needed)
• Installing town utilities, including storm, sewer and water
• Final restoration, including sidewalks, curbs and paving, on Railroad Avenue (east of 6th Street), 5th Street, 4th Street, East and West River Road
